2009 Introductions
PAISLEY SUMMER Jackie Pryor ‘09 - This beautiful double is named after one of my granddaughters. This shows how much I think of this plant. It has a soft coral color with a yellow throat and green heart. It stands 34 inches tall and has buds everywhere. The average bud count is 26 with 4 way branching. With so many buds it will have blooms everyday throughout the season. It starts blooming in mid-season and is a semi-evergreen. PAISLEY SUMMER has 5¾” flowers which are fragrant. $100
LOYALTY TO ROYALTY Jackie Pryor ‘09 - Has clear dark purple petals with striking white mid-ribs. This flower has a bright green throat with purple veins that radiate up to the petals. The petals are ruffled and have a slightly darker purple eye-zone. LOYALTY TO ROYALTY stands 28 inches high. The bloom is 5¼” and starts blooming mid-season. After it is established the scapes have 4 to 5 way branching with an average of 22 buds per scape. This is a dormant plant. $100

ABERDEEN LEA Jackie Pryor ‘04 D 34” M Re 5 3/4” 4 to 5 way branching, 42 buds. Exotic sangria tipped petals and sepals accent the wide open canary yellow centers with a spilling deep green throat. The heavily ruffled flowers, wire edged gold, have a corduroy texture and substance of sculpted wax. Always opens flat to the throat early in the day and lightly recurved.

BLIND SPOT Jeff Pryor ’05 Tetraploid #97120 34" ML Re 5½" x 1¾" x 1¼" 5 way branching with 40 buds often more. The rich velvety black red petals, much darker than pictured, hold all day in the sun. Huge tree like scapes nicely separate the well spaced blooms above medium green foliage. A bud builder.

CALADY Jackie Pryor ’05 Diploid #99135 26" M Re 4½" x 2½" x 1½" 3 way branching with 24 buds. Having a bright and pure rich colors of rose salmon, a slightly darker eye, light veining, and a lighter midrib. The diamond dusted blooms show a lighter edge and the form full peony styled blooms always opening well, even on the coldest of mornings, add a look of class. Reblooming usually right after the initial flush makes for near continual bloom.

CHILDISH DREAM Jackie Pryor ’05 Diploid #9996 27" ML 6½" x 3" x 2" 5 way branching with 35 or more buds. The clear and clean light pink diamond dusted blooms have a very strong fragrance, a small green throat and just a hint of a light rose eyezone. Looping pie crust ruffles cover the creped textured and fully formed peony blooms. Heavy scapes, widely spaced huge blooms and dark green foliage mark this spectacular cultivar.
